Meet the Children: The Heart Gallery of Central Texas
 

Partnerships for Children(PFC) provides critical resources to abused and neglected children in our community who are in the care of Child Protective Services. A program of PFC, The Heart Gallery of Central Texas, works with Child Protective Services to find forever families for older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs; often referred to as forgotten children. These are children who are living in foster care, many for extended periods of time, that are waiting for a permanent family and a life of stability and love. Our goal is to create adoption opportunities and minimize the time any child is waiting for a family. We also work closely with local Child Placing Agencies and Child Protective Services, as part of the Adoption Collaborative of Central Texas to create a community of support and recruitment opportunities for these waiting children. The Heart Gallery of Central Texas was established in 2005 as a traveling art exhibit and online gallery using the talents of area photographers to capture the spirit and personalities of foster children waiting for their forever family.
